  Proper Sitting Posture while reading or working on a computer/laptop Good sitting posture keeps your ears, shoulders, and hips in one straight line. Your back should be supported, and your feet should rest flat on the floor. This reduces strain and keeps your spine healthy. Main Points Sit with your ears, shoulders, and hips aligned in a straight line. Keep your back against the chair to support the natural curve of your spine. Sit with your hips and buttocks fully against the back of the chair. Keep your pelvis in a neutral position. Do not tilt it too far forward or backward.
